
Biography

Annika Porter is a distinguished violinist and violist based in Chicago, with extensive training in both Broadway and classical styles.
From 2022-2025, Annika held the violin and viola chair for the Broadway National Tour of The Book of Mormon. She is an active member of the Chicago Musician's Union and has played for numerous musicals and galas in the Chicagoland area. Annika is also a member of Maestra and has performed with the Broadway Sitzprobe Experience Orchestra in collaboration with Maestra and MUSE in New York City. Additionally, she has performed internationally at the renowned Krakauer Institute in Provence, France.
Annika’s recent performance highlights include performing in a staged reading of Masked, a new musical by Tianna Davis, at 54 Below in New York City. She has performed in various cabarets around the country and has showcased her arrangements of both pop and hymnal music for the Plaid Quartet around the metro Detroit area.
During her time at the University of Oregon, Annika participated in the Theatre Arts program, where she performed both as an actor and violinist in the musical Once. Her performance experience also includes work with the Michigan Youth Arts Festival Orchestra, University of Oregon Symphony Orchestra, North Farmington Orchestra & Chamber Orchestra, and Bryan City Orchestra.
Annika studied violin and viola performance at the University of Oregon and has studied under the guidance of esteemed instructors Katie Kresek, Arnaud Ghillebaert, and Hal Grossman.
